1. Introduction

Get Booked Inc respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through our compliance with this Privacy Policy (the "Policy"). This Policy should be read in conjunction with, and is incorporated into, the Get Booked Inc Terms of Use. Capitalized, but undefined terms used in this Policy have the meaning assigned to those terms in the Get Booked Inc Terms of Use.

The Get Booked Inc website gives small businesses (vendor) scheduling / business tools and the ability for online booking payments. Its also gives the business an online presence where consumers are looking for a quick and easy way to book a service by searching an area of interest.

This Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect data and information (together, "Data") from users of both the vendor and the consumer, and general public users of our Site getbookedinc.ca.

We will collect, use and disclose Data in accordance with this Policy, unless otherwise required by applicable law. We take reasonable steps to ensure that any Data we collect about you is adequate, relevant, not excessive, and used for limited purposes.

This Policy does not apply to information collected outside of the Get Booked Inc Services or by any third party, through any application or content (including advertising) that may link to or be accessible from or on the Site.

Please read this Policy carefully to understand our policies and practices for collecting, processing, and storing Data. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, your choice is not to use the Get Booked Inc Services. By accessing or using the Get Booked Inc Services, you indicate that you understand, accept, and consent to the practices described in this Policy.

2. Data We Collect and How We Collect It

The Data that can be collected by us through the use of the Get Booked Inc Services is as follows:

Information that you provide by filling in forms on our Site. This includes information provided at the time you register for an account with Get Booked Inc ("Registration Data"), and other information you may provide to us from time to time. Required Registration Data includes the User's name, phone number, physical address, and email address. The User will also need to create a username and password to register for the Get Booked Inc Services
Records and copies of your correspondence (including email addresses), if you contact us. We may also ask you for information when you report a problem with the Get Booked Inc Services.
Details of your visits to the Site including traffic data, location data, logs, and other communication data and the resources that you access and use on the Site.
Information about your device and Internet connection, including your IP address, operating system, browser type, the device's unique device identifier, and mobile network information.
Information about your online activities over time and across third-party websites or other services.
Should you choose to enable location services on the Covered Device, the vendor listed services will be shown on the map and location provided by the vendor. Location coordinates are shared with the consumers through a web mapping service (such as Google Maps) to assist the consumer in determining the location of their desired service booking.

The Data we collect includes statistical information and may include personal information. We may maintain such Data or associate it with personal information we collect in other ways, that you provide to us, or that we receive from third parties. This Data helps us to improve the Get Booked Inc Services, to gauge the effectiveness of our marketing, and to deliver a better and more personalized service, including by enabling us to:

Estimate our audience size and how you use the Get Booked Inc Services.
Store information about your preferences, allowing us to customize the Get Booked Inc Services according to your individual interests.
Recognize you when you return to the Site.

In order to gather this Data, we may use the following technologies to collect certain information about your equipment, browsing actions, device usage and patterns, including:

Web Beacons. Web beacons (also known as pixel tags, Internet tags, clear GIFs, or single-pixel GIFs) are electronic images embedded into a Web page. Web Beacons permit Get Booked Inc, for example, to count Users who have visited those pages or opened an email and for other related website statistics (for example, recording the popularity of certain website content and verifying system and server integrity).
IP Address Logs. Our Site also logs Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, which is a number that identifies a specific device connected to the Internet.

3. Data Collected by Third-Parties

At times we may provide content or applications on the Get Booked Inc Services that are served by third-parties, including advertisers, content providers and application providers. This content may include ads, educational applications or other content produced or distributed by third-parties. These third parties may use cookies or other tracking technologies to collect information about you when you use the Easy Web Services. The information they collect may be associated with your personal information or they may collect information, including personal information, about your online activities over time and across different websites and other online services. They may use this information to provide you with interest-based (behavioral) advertising or other targeted content, on other platforms.

4. Technology for Responding to Do-Not-Track Signals

Please note that our Site does not use technology that recognizes a “do-not-track” signal from your web browser.

5. Disclosure of Your Information

We may collect, use, and disclose aggregated information about our Users, and information that does not identify any individual, without restriction.

We may disclose Data that we collect, or you provide as described in this Policy, including personal information:

To our subsidiaries and affiliates.
In accordance with applicable law, to a buyer or other successor in the event of a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of Get Booked Inc’s assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding, in which personal information held by Get Booked Inc about our customers and users is among the assets transferred.
To contractors, service providers, and other third parties we use to support our business (such as analytics and search engine providers that assist us with improvement and optimization of the Get Booked Inc Services) and who are contractually obligated to keep personal information confidential, use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them, and to process the personal information with the same standards set out in this policy.
To fulfill the purpose for which you provide it.
For any other purpose disclosed by us when you provide the information.

6. Transferring Your Data

We may transfer Data that we collect or that you provide as described in this Policy to contractors, service providers (including service providers who host information that is used to operate the Get Booked Inc Services), and other third parties we use to support our business (such as analytics and search engine providers that assist us with Get Booked Inc Services improvement and optimization) and who are contractually obligated to use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them, and to process the Data with the same standards set out in this Policy. We will use Data for the purposes that we identify to you, or as otherwise set out in this Policy or as required or permitted by law.

Transfer of personal information to service providers outside Canada

In some instances, we may engage service providers who are located outside Canada. As a result, we may process, store and transfer Data in and to a foreign country, with different privacy laws that may or may not be as comprehensive as Canadian law. In these circumstances, the governments, courts, law enforcement, or regulatory agencies of that country may be able to obtain access to Data about you through the laws of the foreign country. Whenever we engage a service provider, we require that its privacy and security standards adhere to this Policy and applicable privacy legislation.

7. Choices About How We Use and Disclose Your Information

We strive to provide you with choices regarding the personal information you provide to us. We have created mechanisms to provide you with the following control over your information:

Tracking Technologies and Advertising. You can set your browser to refuse all or some browser cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If you disable or refuse cookies, please note that some parts of the Site may not be accessible or may not function properly.

Location Information. The vendor must provide a location on the map for the consumer to see where the vendor and business resides.

Promotional Offers from Get Booked Inc. If you have opted in to receive certain emails from us but no longer wish to have your email address or contact information used by Get Booked Inc to promote our own products or services, you can opt-out by following the opt-out instructions provided in the email or by sending us an email stating your request to admin@getbookedinc.ca. If we have sent you a promotional email, you may unsubscribe by clicking the unsubscribe link we have included in the email.

Targeted Advertising. If you do not want us to use information that we collect or that you provide to us to deliver advertisements according to our advertisers' target-audience preferences, you can opt out by using the opt out tools created by the Digital Advertising Alliance of Canada, the Network Advertising Initiative or Google Advertising.

We do not control third parties' collection or use of your information to serve interest-based advertising. However, these third parties may provide you with ways to choose not to have your information collected or used in this way. In addition to the information indicated above under this heading, you can opt-out of several third party ad servers’ and networks’ cookies simultaneously by using opt-out tools created by Google Advertising, the Digital Advertising Alliance of Canada or by the Network Advertising Initiative. You may also opt out of our use of Google Analytics by visiting the Google Analytics opt-out page. Opting out of a network does not mean you will no longer receive online advertising. It does mean that the network from which you opted out will no longer deliver ads tailored to your web preferences and usage patterns.

8. Data Security

The security of your Data is very important to us. We use physical, electronic, and administrative measures designed to secure your Data from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. We store information you provide to us behind firewalls on secure servers. All information collected and used by third-party payment service providers is subject to their privacy policies. We are not responsible for any third-party transfer, storage, processing, or use of information collected by third-parties

The safety and security of your information also depends on you. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password for access to certain parts of the Get Booked Inc Services, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share your password with anyone.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the Internet is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your Data, we cannot guarantee the security of Data transmitted to the Get Booked Inc Services. Any transmission of Data is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the Site.

9. Data Retention

Except as otherwise permitted or required by applicable law or regulation, we will retain personally identifiable Data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. Under some circumstances we may anonymize your Data so that it can no longer be associated with you. We reserve the right to use such anonymous and de-identified Data for any legitimate business purpose without further notice to you, and without your consent (on behalf of you, as a User).

10. Accessing and Correcting Your Data and Information

It is important that the information we hold about you is accurate and current. Please keep us informed if your personal information changes. By law, you have the right to request access to and to correct personally identifiable Data that we hold about you. We will provide access to your Data, subject to exceptions set out in applicable privacy legislation.

If you want to review, verify, or correct your Data, you may send us an email at [admin@getbookedinc.ca] to request access to, correct, or delete any Data that you have provided to us, in respect of yourself. We may not accommodate a request to change information if we believe the change would violate any law or legal requirement or cause the information to be incorrect.

We may request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and your right to access, and to provide you with the Data that we hold about you or make your requested changes. Applicable law may allow or require us to refuse to provide you with access to some or all the Data that we hold about you, or we may have destroyed, erased, or made such Data anonymous in accordance with our record retention obligations and practices. If we cannot provide you with access to this Data, we will inform you of the reasons why, subject to any legal or regulatory restrictions.

11. Changes to this Policy

This Policy may change from time to time. Changes we make to this Policy will be posted on this page. If we make material changes to how we treat our Users' Data, we may notify you through a notice on the Site's home page. We include the date the Policy was last revised at the bottom of this page. You are responsible for periodically visiting our Site and this Policy to check for any changes. Your continued use of the Get Booked Inc Services after such notice constitutes your acceptance of such changes.
